The UK Parliament is inviting academics and researchers to share their insights and expertise on a range of areas relating to the coronavirus/COVID-19 pandemic and its various impacts by contributing to a number of select committee inquiries.
Academics and researchers are invited to submit written evidence to any select committee that is relevant to their area of expertise. Parliament has produced a guide to submitted evidence to select committees, accessible here. The committees and their respective deadlines for submission are as follows:
In addition to the select committees, Parliament is inviting people with expertise relating to the COVID-19 outbreak or its impacts to sign up to its COVID-19 Outbreak Expert Database. This database will be used by Parliamentary staff, Members of both Houses and their staff to rapidly contact experts and gain their insights on different areas relating to the COVID-19 outbreak and its impacts.
Parliament also has its own COVID-19 news page, and interested stakeholders can access research and analysis publications from Parliament via the dedicated House of Commons Library COVID-19 webpage.
RESEARCHconnect will continue to keep track of funding and policy developments relating to COVID-19 in the UK and overseas as the situation develops.
